Recipe for pan-fried organic beef liver with caramelized onions
Ingredients:
- 500g organic grass-fed beef liver, sliced
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter or ghee
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- A few sprigs of fresh thyme (optional)
Instructions :
Preparing the Caramelized Onions :
- In a frying pan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and add the olive oil.
- Add the chopped onions, a pinch of salt, and cook slowly until golden and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
- Once caramelized, add the balsamic vinegar and reduce for 2 minutes. Set aside.
Cooking beef liver :
