Mexican sausage is made from pork raised on our own farms.
Pork farmers have adopted breeding methods that enable them to offer consumers lean, nutritious meat that is safe for their health. The animals are fed entirely natural products such as cereals and vitamin and mineral supplements.
Furthermore, no growth hormones or drugs are used in pig farming.
Mexican sausage is a blend of chipotle spices, garlic powder, celery culture extract, paprika, cayenne chili, sea salt and pepper. This is our spiciest sausage. It is guaranteed 100% gluten-free and lactose-free, and no nitrates or phosphates are added during the production process.
Since slow-smoked sausages are pre-cooked, they don't require long cooking and only need to be reheated. You can prepare them in the oven, in a frying pan or on the barbecue. Just a few minutes of cooking will awaken their flavor.
To accompany your sausages, we suggest a recipe for peperonata.
Cook sausages on the barbecue for 5 minutes or until completely cooked. Remove from grill and let stand.
- In a large saucepan or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add 2 yellow and 2 red peppers cut into strips, plus a diced onion. Cook, stirring regularly, for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Add 2 finely chopped garlic cloves and cook for a further 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add ¼ cup parsley, 2 tablespoons capers and 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Slice the sausages and serve with the peperonata.
