Safe Catch tuna is traceable from catch to can and we only buy from captains whose fish come from managed, sustainable tuna stocks.
With our proprietary technology, we are able to test each fish for mercury content. If it doesn't meet our purity standards, we don't buy it. It may still be a good tuna, but it's not a Safe Catch tuna.
Our limit for Safe Catch Elite wild-caught tuna is dis times (10x) more stringent than the FDA's mercury action limit.
Other canned tuna lose their flavor and omega 3's due to mechanical processing. We hand pack pure, raw tuna steaks to retain maximum nutrients, then slow cook them to perfection.
Other tuna canning companies pre-cook their tuna and use additives and fillers to artificially enhance their fish. At Save CAtch, we do not add any fillers or additives to our unseasoned products.
