- 1 cup (250 ml) market marinara sauce
- ½ red pepper, minced
- ½ green pepper, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 6 cups (1.5 L) cooked penne pasta (300g, 3½ (875 ml) cups before cooking)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tbsp (60 ml) chopped basil leaves
