Chicken breast is a lean, low-calorie meat rich in vitamins and minerals. Chicken is one of the white meats with considerable advantages in terms of energy and nutrient intake, as it contains phosphorus (which keeps bones and teeth healthy), selenium (an antioxidant) and vitamins B3 and B6 (which help build red blood cells).

What are the cooking temperatures and times for chicken breasts?
Unlike red meat, which can be cooked according to individual tastes, chicken must be cooked medium-rare. You can vary the pleasure of cooking it on the grill, in the oven or on the barbecue. If you choose to cook it in the oven, we recommend a temperature of 220°C / 425°F for 18 to 20 minutes, so that the antibiotic- and hormone-free chicken breast retains all its tenderness.
How long can I keep chicken breast?
Once thawed, chicken breast is best eaten within 3 to 5 days. Frozen, it can be kept for up to a year in the freezer.
Chicken Breast Recipe Idea
Chicken breast with honey and mustard
- 2 antibiotic- and hormone-free chicken breasts, cut in half
- 1 tablespoonorganic sunflower oil
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tin cream of celery
- 60 ml water
- 1/4 teaspoonorganic granulated garlic
- 2 tablespoons St-Stanislas white honey
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In an ovenproof dish, brown the chicken breast in the oil. Add onion and sauté for 3 minutes. Stir in cream of celery, water, organic granulated garlic, St-Stanislas white honey and mustard. Cover and simmer in oven for about 1 hour, until chicken is tender.
