Organic hens benefit from a free-range habitat, allowing them to move around freely in the henhouse, but also to have access to the outdoors when the weather permits.
They are also fed grains, vitamins and minerals that are certified organic and therefore derived from pesticide-free agriculture.
Valens Farms' organic label guarantees quality eggs that provide all the essential proteins and nutrients when eaten.
The eggs don't leave the farm, as we have all the machines needed for grading and packing.
Eggs are commonly eaten as omelettes, scrambled, hard-boiled or soft-boiled eggs. Here's a recipe for mimosa egg tartine to accompany your breakfast or brunch:
- Cook 4 eggs in boiling water for 9 minutes to obtain hard-boiled eggs.
- To prepare the tartines: shell the hard-boiled eggs in water to avoid damaging them. Cut in half and quarter lengthwise. Chop the eggs. Place in a bowl, season with a drizzle of olive oil and pepper. Mix well.
- Mix a can of tuna in oil with a can of fromage frais, add ½ lemon juice and a pinch of Espelette pepper.
- Cut a few gherkins into 2, then into 4 and small cubes, and mix with the tuna and fromage frais mixture.
- There are 2 ready-made preparations: Mimosa eggs and fromage frais/thon
- Toast 4 slices of bread, then chop the chives and add to the eggs.
- Take the 2 preparations. Place the tuna and fromage frais mixture on the toast, spread, then the mimosa egg mixture, a sprig of chives and a lemon zest.
