Advantages of milk-fed veal :
Rich in nutrients: Milk-fed veal (and veal in general) contains a wealth of nutrients, including vitamins essential to the proper functioning of the human body and immune system.
Tenderness: Milk gives veal a greater tenderness. Apart from nutrition, milk-fed veals are normally reared for a shorter period of time than grain-fed veals, about 5 to 8 weeks less. This gives grain-fed veals more time to form muscle tissue and deprives them of greater tenderness.
Veal is a lean, versatile meat and an excellent source of vitamins B2, B3, B6 and B12, as well as minerals such as selenium, iron, phosphorus and copper.
Our veals are first fed exclusively on milk from the cow, then switched to a hay and grain based diet. Raised without hormones or antibiotics, our veals are tender and tasty.
