Our cattle are born and raised 100% in Quebec, without hormones or antibiotics. They spend most of their lives on pasture.

Natural beef is raised on a balanced forage diet and also receives a small portion of locally grown cereals to supplement their diet.

Try this Italian meatloaf and you'll be amazed at how good it tastes!

Ingredients:

  • 900g lean natural ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp. dried basil
  • ½ tsp. oregano
  • ½ tsp. Italian seasoning (mix of basil, thyme, oregano, rosemary, sage, garlic powder and cayenne pepper)
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup market tomato sauce (about 6 ounces)
  • 1 can market tomato sauce 640 ml.
  • 1 cup grated cheese of your choice.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish.

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Lightly grease a 9x9 mould.
  • In a bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, spices, Parmesan cheese and tomato sauce and mix well.
  • Place the mixture in the mould and shape into a loaf.
  • Add the 640 ml can of tomato sauce to the raw meatloaf.
  • Place in the oven for 1h30 to 2h.
  • 10 minutes before the end, top with grated cheese and leave to melt until golden.
