Natural beef is raised on a balanced forage diet and also receives a small portion of locally grown cereals to supplement their diet.
Try this Italian meatloaf and you'll be amazed at how good it tastes!
Ingredients:
- 900g lean natural ground beef
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup (60 ml) breadcrumbs
- ½ tsp. dried basil
- ½ tsp. oregano
- ½ tsp. Italian seasoning (mix of basil, thyme, oregano, rosemary, sage, garlic powder and cayenne pepper)
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- Salt and pepper
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup market tomato sauce (about 6 ounces)
- 1 can market tomato sauce 640 ml.
- 1 cup grated cheese of your choice.
- Chopped parsley for garnish.
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly grease a 9x9 mould.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, spices, Parmesan cheese and tomato sauce and mix well.
- Place the mixture in the mould and shape into a loaf.
- Add the 640 ml can of tomato sauce to the raw meatloaf.
- Place in the oven for 1h30 to 2h.
- 10 minutes before the end, top with grated cheese and leave to melt until golden.
