Recipe Idea with Maple Syrup

Here's a simple but delicious recipe using maple syrup: maple syrup-glazed chicken.

Ingredients:

• 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1/3 cup maple syrup
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
• A few sprigs of fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions :

• Preparing the chicken :
• Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
• Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
• In an ovenproof skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  
  
• Preparing the glaze :
• In a bowl, combine the maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar and Dijon mustard. Pour this mixture over the chicken in the pan.
• Add the fresh thyme on top.
  
  
• Cooking :
• Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake the chicken for 20 minutes, or until cooked through and the glaze has thickened slightly. Baste the chicken with the glaze halfway through cooking to coat it richly.
  
  
• Service:
• Serve the maple syrup-glazed chicken hot, with your choice of greens or salad.
